Prowling through the undergrowth,
Amber eyes ablaze; Every sense alert To any watchful gaze. Paws padding softly, Each claw beneath a veil, Ears twitch slightly In time with the flicking tail. Fur so soft and bright, The colour of flame: Orange, brown, ochre-- No two shades the same. He finds his way through darkness, The stars his only guide, Breathing in the moonlight, His spirit free outside.
