Sonnet for Spirit
Shakespearian Style Sonnet about spirit

Unbound, are fresh horizons new and rich;
unfettered by construction's rigid form.
Together, served ambition's fickle twitch,
to tame the wild and have it as our own.

Now, open to man's mind and soulful hope,
these plains await the spirit of new dreams,
and slaves unto the land have faith unyoked.
A freedom void of fence, ear-marked by streams.

Press blistering hands in thankful prayer,
Heaven gifts an appetite for success.
While hot sun warms grain and harvest fayre,
we build our hearts with hope to sweet possess.

There's naught which nature can undo with fear,
the unbent spirit of the pioneer.
