You better believe it – the best testament to phony,
Is someone like you, you phony baloney!
Don’t work on your case, you ain’t gonna win;
The work that we do comes deep from within.
The best case scenario is that you’re gonna lose,
But whatever the case, it’s the side that you choose.

Work for the best, not for the poses –
The work that we do, it’s not for the roses.
We are seeking a truth, a mystique, a desire;
To be up to the task, to burn with the fire.
So whether you eat, drink, or smoke, please be able
To tell the difference between wild, dishonest, and unstable.

When you educate the man or the woman about the prophets,
There’s pain in that truth that one never forgets.
So hold to your own, your true feelings will guide you
And bring you home on a rebounding journey that’s new.
Because what we expect from the rebel without a cause
Is to bow from the calling which gave no applause.

Take care of yourself, take note of demands –
Don’t sell yourself out to delirious stands.
The fighting’s so good, so right, and so just;
Just to know that we tried, that we did what we must.
But to encourage a loser who had the wrong plan
Is to encourage a liar, the wrong kind of man.

It’s amazing how we work so hard for the day,
Then find the work is a bust, and do not dismay.
The guilt and the futility lay in the plan
Not just the fact that you’re a woman or a man.
For you are the judgment, for you must deliver;
Is the sport just for peeps, or are you truly a giver?
