Bound by a Rubberband
She found them in a kitchen drawer, In the back and long forgotten. Once they adorned the refrigerator, Now they were rolled up tight And bound by a rubber band. A collection of her children's art, Drawn when they were small. As she smoothed them out Memories flooded her mind. No museum has such masterpieces. She returned each priceless drawing To its rightful place of honor; Reminders of happy days When her children filled her kitchen With laughter and love.
