love misinterpreted, for the wrong reasons?

my emotions may wander
just so far from your green eyes
yet I dare not squander
the dreams held fast in your lies

the dreams held fast in your lies
have kept my heart afloat
peacefully under the sky
while the wind steers our lifeboat

while the wind steers our lifeboat
caught in a spin of love’s witchcraft
we sail around our castle's moat
our quiet ways foolishly daft

our quiet ways foolishly daft
I offered you my freedom
willingly.. yet in pain I laughed
for my love was not your kingdom

for my love was not your kingdom
captured by your secret potions
I lost myself far from wisdom
cry for wandering emotions!
