CHRISTMAS MIRACLES

CHRISTMAS MIRACLES

"It's going to take a miracle", she had once said
as thoughts of family and friends filled her head.
"I don't need or want any kind of gifts this year,
just happiness and health for those I hold dear."

There are some things that money can't buy,
you won't find them in a store even if you try.
Miracles happen, and that's a very true fact
and Christmas is the time they tend to attract.

Snowflakes falling fast in a world of white,
bless all our friends and families this night.
Let hearts abound with Christmas cheer,
Let them be together, at home, this year.

The hungry, the homeless, the lost and lame
will find food and shelter, walk straight again.
Bless the soldiers who stand watch and guard
insuring that freedom remains in our front yard.

There will be warmth in the homes and light
to guide our way home in the dark of night.
Look to the Heavens and follow that star,
a long-ago miracle, will keep us safe, by far.

"it will take a miracle" she had once said
as she knelt down to pray beside her bed.
Her faith was strong, it was Christmas eve
and in Christmas miracles she believed.

Snowflakes falling fast in a world of white,
bless all our friends and families this night.
Let hearts abound with Christmas cheer,
Let them be together, at home, this year.
