tell me of fate —tis the devil’s doom?
the hour chimes twelve, the shadows bay
desire waits for the last full moon

the two of spades, an unlucky play
trump not the queen of my bleeding heart
the hour chimes twelve, the shadows bay

my life, the mark for Cupid’s swift dart
she was at once demon and angel
trump not the queen of my bleeding heart

nightly he wove me into his spell
while I danced in inebriation
she was at once demon and angel

caught now in darkest celebration
made of emotions, fearful the din
while I danced in inebriation

can overwhelming love be a sin?
tell me of fate – tis the devil’s doom?
made of emotions, fearful the din
desire waits for the last full moon

the queen of hearts
