on the radio, Goldberg Variations
lend a delicate air to the crackling fire and snowflakes flutter beyond the venetian blinds, mingling with moonlight’s silvery desire lounging together we laugh at temptation sipping brandy, sovereigns in our empire we dream as one, listen to the silence as it arrives to strengthen love’s pretence now, the soft notes of our sighing, our kisses build into a wild passionate symphony afterwards, in calm we smile and reminisce on cravings for pizza with pepperoni... our appetites satisfied, sleep invites bliss as one we slip into a land of utter harmony... in the distance harpsichord notes resound this night, our new promises will abound love’s pretense [2007.22.12...d] Written in the Ottava Rima form for the Stretch your Style forum
