There is a reason why everyone writes them,
Those fantasy stories you see all over. They all have something in common, As do their authors. They are called fantasy for a reason. Elves, dwarves, orcs, giants. Castles, wars, battles, kingdoms. Magic, Gods, Goddesses, princesses. All of these things are in the fantasy land, Non-existant until written down. Floating about in our imaginations, Waiting to become a story, And possibly legend. It's called fantasy for a reason. It will never happen. There will never be magic, And elves will never exist. Thpse mythical kingdoms Are too good to be true. We all read about. Sure, wars are real, But spellcasters in those wars Are not. There is a reason why everyone writes Fantasy novels. We write about what we want. What we will never have. What we want to come to life, And writing a story about it Is as close as we can come. To quench our desires for something else, And to give us a feeling of control. To give us the illusion of fantasy. They are our own personal fantasies That will never come true.
