And will we lose the reins of all control
if you hold on
I'll hold on
Afterthoughts and aftertastes
of words that fell from sharpened tongues
onto bitter lips
spoken in the moment
We didn't mean harm, but we knew
words jab and cut hearts like razorblades
And here we are after the smoke clears
In this foggy relationship
your all smiles
and I'm all smiles
Two great actors
we're always faking it
and if you hold on one more time
I think we'll be alright
