A NEW START
Cold darkness is all around, Icy winds chill my heart, Shaking it down to the core And ripping it apart. Was it what I expected, When I dated you first? I knew not at the ninth cloud, My love balloon would burst. I am a stranger to you. I’m not now in your thought. On my heart a tragedy, You have so truly wrought. I wish I knew the cause of Your fury worse than hell. Whether you believe or not, Let me honestly tell: I have loved you true and pure, None else I have in heart. Let us forget the past and Make again a new start. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format. • Written initially as entry no. 419891(now deleted) in the book Love Poems, "LOVE POEMS" M C Gupta 16 April 2006
