My hopes, my prayers, my dreams. Written for Countrymoms Senior Contest.

NEW YEAR, SAME PRAYER

I’m looking forward to a new day
when a miracle might come my way.

I am hoping that God hears my prayer
and returns my love's health back to fair.

I dream of new mornings shining bright
when I can once more enjoy life’s light.

Forty six years my wife’s been that light
I pray to leave this darkness of night.
