I’M NOT REALLY A WRITER…
I like to put my thoughts on paper With encouraging words now and then But I’m really not a writer God just lets me hold the pen Sometimes I’ll write a story Or a poem about love so grand But I’m really not a writer God’s just borrowing my hand I write when I feel frustrated When I feel knocked down again But I’m really not a writer I just get to hold God’s pen Occasionally I’ll sit at the computer A restless mind I hope to ease But I’m really not a writer I just get to press the keys I hope that what I write brings smiles To folks who wear a frown But I’m really not a writer I just get to write it down Some may say I have a talent That makes a reader feel good again But I’m really not a writer I just let God use my pen lj 1/7/08
