DO GOOD AND BE BLESSED: a sonnet

May god soften hearts that are made of stone
And make tender thoughts sprout where grimness rules.
May He bless them who to sinning are prone
And shape them into His own godly tools.

May He change the unimpressionable
Hearts into those that feels the others’ pain.
Let His kindness verily enable
Men to love others and shed their disdain.

Man may be born a sinner but why he
Should go one day from this world steeped in sin?
By doing good he can from sins be free.
All that he needs is to be clean within.

Do good and you shall truly earn His grace.
Else, you shall consequences of sins face.
