He made a path, God's son as man;~0~
A path that gave us righteousness.~1~
Alone He had to make His stand~2~
And all we need is to confess~3~

Because He died upon the cross.~4~
Now grace is ours, but bought with pain.~5~
There could not be a greater loss.~6~
There could not be a greater gain.~7~

*(in 1995 I wrote the following for my wife, I knew nothing of  iamb or meter or quatrains or rhythms.)*

I’d like to sail across the sea~9~
Just you and me, eternity~10~
Ever towards a setting sun~11~
Two loving hearts that beat as one~12~
