thirty minutes late
trains force me to wait
for moments to state
how I've missed you!
will hope be ornate
filled with joyous traits
and will time elate
as kisses do?

in your arms I rush
your welcome cheeks blush
whispering won't hush
our pledge of love
like songs of a thrush
or verse from a brush
describing my crush
for you, sweet dove

when I’m late
