Ode To A Mug Of Hot Tea

This poem was inspired by the following quote from that famous author named Anonymous

"Tea tempers the spirit, harmonizes the mind, dispels lassitude and relieves fatigue, awakens the thought and prevents drowsiness"

Ode To A Mug Of Hot Tea

I sat in my chair with a mug of hot tea,
Disharmony and tumult closely entwined.
The chaotic world was shouting at me,
The cacophony filled my mind.

My spirit cried out with doubt and anger,
I was helpless and bound to my chair.
My being encased in numbing langour,
Lassitude permeated the air.

I took a sip of the steaming brew,
My mind began to quiet.
The hope within my spirit grew,
Facing the langour, I now could deny it.

With an empty mug I broke free from my place,
Now nothing was impossible for me.
I could conquer the world with a smile on my face,
Savoring memories of a mug of hot tea.
