Faerie Tales

Faerie Tales should be left for dreaming
That’s my philosophy
Because in the end it never portrays
How life and love can truly endure.

In Faerie Tales you always find
A princess and her prince to be
Two hearts as lonely as each others
But attitudes that clashed like oil and water
Both seek a state of solace.

If they wound the clock ahead
To a time when happily ever after ends.
Trying to remember why they fell in love in the first place
Became as thick as a London Fog.

When the dreams and the wishes that their hearts created
Seem to far out of reach.
When the roses have wilted,
And the violets are dead,
When the sugar just isn’t as sweet.
When saying the words “ I love you” becomes a burden to heavy to bare.
When there is no Faerie godmother to make it all disappear.
Faerie Tales should be left for dreaming.
