Birthday greeetings to "The Writer's Cramp"
Prompt: Today marks the first day of the Writer’s Cramp Birthday Celebration. (Wow! Whoopie! Yeah! Six Years Old! Wow!)Write a poem or story about the birthday present you were going to send the Writer’s Cramp, but . . . (What happened to the present, why couldn’t you send it, and what was it going to be?) LInes: 20 "The Writer's Cramp is turning SIX this week!" A chance to send it something sweet! I tried and tried to no avail, so here I write the sad, sad tale. I wrote a card: To Cramp, with love, thanking fate and the stars above, but when I mailed it to the Cramp, I failed to adorn it with a stamp. I baked a cake with frosting blue to show my love for the Cramp. It's true! But when I carried it out the door, I slipped and splattered it on the floor. And then I thought "Award-i-con!" But alas, it seems my gift points are gone. "Maybe just a kind review? Oh darn, my membership I must renew." I thought and thought of what to do, that was good and fun and oh-so-true? I guess the best thing I can say, is, "Thank you, dear Cramp, have a happy birthday!"
