On Guard
About not letting other people take control of your dreams. Only God has your destiny.

Watch out for anything
Or anyone
That may put a dent in your beliefs,
A chip in your goals,
A boot on your dreams
And a kick in your aspirations
Destination: the toilet bowl.

Flush goes the hand that pushes the lever
The lever that aids in the sliding down the drain of dismalness
Through the pipes of isolation
Making its way to the waste dumps of pity, depression, and regret
Not a very nice vacation
Floating for days, hours, weeks, months….
[Sighing for a very, very long time, wishing that life had taken the reverse direction]

Heavy rains pour one dismal Thursday
Via some dark and gloomy cumulonimbus clouds
The not-so-aesthetically friendly sky
So sad, so bad-bearing
Sending tear drops from that current cry
To drown the waste
The next day the remains start to drain to the middle of nowhere
[moping, mumbling, griping, complaining]

Just like the brain
Controlling by leeches
Who don’t get by on more than
Lip services and faulty speeches
However, in the end
Keep listening and you will be
Just plain air….
[insert yours and/or other people's thought(s)/identity(ies) here]

That’s why you have to watch
For certain people
Places
Things
Be on guard
Because your future is more important
Your head and heart
God knows
Keep healthy
Stay clean
I’m outta here….Peace
[Yeah, man, What then, what? BYE!! ADIOS, PA’TNA!! (talk to da hand!!)]
