Endless Sorrow

They have waited so long
for a helping hand.
How could we ignore their pleading song?
They do not want
they badly need.
Sadly, we give them no heed.
We send in troops day by day
but nothing can stop the deadly ways.
I can hear their hearts breaking
Their faith we are taking
So many are dying
A lot we are buying
So much we have
So much we could give
If only we could listen to their anthem.
