Dreams
By Naomi Rose Eldonez Voices shake the silence They echo in and out Shapes and colors fly before my sightless eyes. Through my peripheral vision, I can see a little girl walking down a grand hall. Someone is shouting at her to go no farther. That vision diminishes and in it's place a new one appears. I am falling a long distance Through the air. I reach for something to grab, but nothing meets my fingertips. Out of the blue I am submerged under water. People's wispy bodies swim past me. I scream but nothing escapes my gaping mouth, but tainy bubbles floating to the unseen surface. A strong hand grips my wrist and pulls me up out of the watery prison. My eyes, eager to see light, Fly open, like little light bulbs flicking on. Instead of a body of water... I see my bedroom.
