Just as sure as winter comes
The seed that is planted will come to crop

Just as sure as winter comes

Just as sure as winter comes
and opens into spring
the seasons pass before us
and soon the day will bring.
-
A time for us to harvest
the seed that we have sown
a time when what we planted
is ours to eat alone.
-
The time when reminiscing
will only feed the pain
of that which we neglected
in hopes of further gain.
-
Just as sure as winter comes
the day for sure will bring
a reaping to the harvest
we planted in the spring.
