Fractured
Memories can still haunt a person no matter what age.

My mind is fractured to this day.
Little bits and pieces of my life.
No matter what I do or say,
keep coming to the forefront,
getting stuck in my mind anyway.

I shy away from these visions,
that keep appearing from my past.
crippling my mind, I pray,
to my heavenly Father.
Please don't let them last.

I thought they were all gone
but they only  reappear
Just giving me little glimpses
of the horror that belongs,
back in my childhood years.
