A Geisha Girl's Hopes

This is just something I wrote. Just some thoughts that passed through my mind.

Hello. My name is Keisha. I am a Geisha girl. I am nineteen years old and I have been a Geisha girl for three years. I wear a lot of make up and beautiful clothes. My dresses are pure white at times and other times I wear pink and dark red colored dresses. Sometimes, I am allowed to wear lavender and flower dresses. I am not a Geisha girl by choice. I had no where to go or no one to turn to after my mother's death. My father deserted us years ago. I asked Minano for a job. She gave me a job and takes care of me. I do the part of the Geisha girl and I can have anything I want. I don't sleep with men. I want to fall in love and I have already met someone. His name is Osoto. I serve him drinks and dance for him. He gives me good money tips. He has asked me out but I tell him "No." He deserves better then a Geisha girl but I still have feelings for him. He comes to watch me dance. I love to dance especially when he is watching me. Osoto is four years older then me. I have been told by other Geisha girls that he has no wife or girlfriend. I hope I will be brave and be his girlfriend soon. He has money but that isn't my reason for wanting him. He isn't like the other men. Other men want me to go home with them to their bed. I do not behave that way. My mother taught me to be respectable. She sewed clothes for other people and we lived in a descent house. We never had much money but we had enough. I need to be more then a Geisha girl. I need to be respectable for Osoto.

I was serving drinks and one customer Kosoi grabbed me and tried to kiss me. He has several women and I do not wish to be one of them. I tried to get away but Kosoi grabbed me in an forbidden place. Osoto punched him and Osoto was punched in the face. He got a bad cut. I was so embarrassed. Minano made Kosoi leave after she threatened to call the authorities. I cleaned Osoto's wound and he kissed my hand. He asked me out for dinner. I said "Yes." Minano told me I shouldn't be ashamed to be a Geisha girl. I feel that she is right.

Osoto and I had dinner at his house tonight. His maid cooked some delicious food. I wore a pretty long red dress and Osoto liked my dress. After dinner, he showed me his beautiful garden. The garden has a lot of beautiful red roses, purple, pink, yellow, blue and multicolored flowers. Osoto and I went back to his house and we danced to some Japanese music. He took me home and kissed me on the cheek. I know that he is a true gentleman. I do love him and hope that he will love me, too.

Osoto and I have been together the past few months. He kissed me passionately after our fourth date and told me that he loves me. He has offered me a job with his firm. They make electronic equipment. I will be his assistant. I am no longer a Geisha girl. Minano wished me well. We promised to stay in touch. I think I will love my new job.

I love working with Osoto. He has asked me to marry him and I have accepted. A Geisha girl can find happiness. We will be married soon.

Osoto and I are married. We are truly happy. If I wouldn't have been a Geisha girl, we would have never met.
