Moonlit Dance
Stream-of-consciousness piece that came to me out at sea...morbid, but from the heart.

In the afterglow of a moonlit dance,

I begin to wonder if all is lost to youth's romance.
Will life be lived in shallow toil as emotions ignored over boil?
Do needs and friends always coincide or carry hatred hidden inside?
The question that is always raised does God forgive Satan's praise?

And what of love that drives us on?
Is Agape Amore Eros con?
Sweet misery and fallacy will always be a part

Of me - us - you - them

Condemned to rot away by day
The sands keep piling a cone of loss,
opportunities missed and warm abyss.

The soul yearns for death.
