english sonnet of 14 lines, rhyme scheme: ababcdcdefefgg
Breathless, I step into that vast unknown,
That realm of love that held a place for me-
I lost my way, 'tho I was often shown,
Because I dwelt in my past misery.
She knew the way, she had been there before-
Her heart was innocent with youth and life;
She took my hand and led me through the door,
And entering, I left my doubt and strife.
In faith, I took each step, slowly walked in
Towards the Reality which knows no bounds,
And all was new and fresh-had always been,
Eternal in sweet colors, gentle sounds;
Love was the truth that I had always sought-
And love is found only when Self is naught.
