A Few of My Favorite Things
A poem about some of my favorite "things"

Purple. Lavender. Magenta.
Warm fires in the cold of winter.
Drums beating clear rhythms.
Oceans of sand and salt.
Litter free spaces.
Exotic eyes and faces.
Clothes worn to wear.
Flowers braided into hair.
Waking dreams.
Teapots full of steam.
Trees which sway and lean.
The unseen.
The much anticipated weed.
Artwork to see.
Places removed from scenes.
Animals dumb and keen.
Freshly ground coffee beans.
In some dank finding a seed.
People with manners.
Thanks.
Your welcome.
Excuse me.
Please.
A partner that loves the tease.
Baggy shorts hanging to my knees.
All super heroes and backyard MCs.
Sitting still as morning life awakes.
Helping out for helpings sake.
Being kind in the face of the cruel.
Women that don't mind if they drool.
Shady places to keep it cool.
Laughter when playing the fool.
An education in life.
Any and all that schools.
Every kind of constructive tool.
Screened decks with hot tubs and pools.
Camping grounds where I can cook food.
Community kitchens and all greasy spoons.
Appreciation for all foods.
Humorous jokes and friendly blokes.
Agreeing that love is what we need.
Hungry folks that I like to feed.
Picking up hitch hikers.
Driving any road I please.
Saying “God Bless” when there's a sneeze.
Acceptance as an integral key to peace.
Fast moving cars.
Joyous laughter everywhere.
Scratching my legs with my toes.
Smokes made from tobacco and cloves.
Friends as they sing and flow.
Stoking anyones inner glow.
Joking with strangers.
Being careful of danger.
Watching over my friends.
Doing whats right.
Numbers two, seven, nine, thirteen and eleven.
Prayers which are lovingly sent up to heaven.
Family which always cares.
Challenging friends to harmless dares.
Giving the carnies my money at the fair.
Love in all forms anytime and anywhere.
