My Hope!
By: Matthew Harper (T.D.O.) August 18, 2006 *approximate* The pain so everlasting, It seems to be passing. I can finally stand, On my own feet again. I’ve found a rock to lean on. Comfort and beauty are finally mine, I think I’ve woken up to find There’s something to live for after all, The rise that comes after the fall. My life is brightened by the Sun. With a single word I rise, After a thousand empty lies. The darkness flees my mind, After all there is a kind And gentle soul who makes the pain end. When I ask I fall in love, With my savior from above. I beg forgiveness for my sin, A silent peace warms my skin. The darkness banished by a beautiful Raven. A light shines in her eyes, No matter how the darkness tries She pushes away the ghost, Simply by pulling me close. Her power soars in my heart, a white dove. I know her soul is pure, Together we can endure Anything rising from the past I know our bond will last. The way I was saved? T’was by pure love! She leaves and I hear the darkness call, I look around and start to fall. A simple sentence spoken from her heart, The earth shakes and ground begins to part. I fall into bliss and light instead of the pain. If she ever falls I will be there, Nothing can stop the rainy weather, But we can stop the darkest fears. Now only by joy do I feel tears. As long as I have her I shall never fall again. This is to my indescribable savior, Thank you for being my warrior. I was weak and you called my name, My past no longer has a claim On the beating of my fiery heart. When I find that you’re with me, I’m finally a completed entity. A missing part to me is found, I’ll sing your praises when I feel down. Nothing will ever make us truly part… Is your love as beautiful as mine? - Signed, Matthew Harper
