"What happened?"

"Kelsey," Fallon muttered between sobs.

Mrs. Totty took Fallon's hand and led her to the family room, sidestepping heaps of shredded paper, popped feather pillows, and overturned potted plants, and scattered game pieces.  "Sit down and tell us what happened."

"Jake guessed the closest number and Kelsey didn't want to play the game he picked so she dumped all of them together and jumped on them, tearing and breaking a lot of pieces."  She glanced toward the heap of ruined games to confirm her statement.

"She didn't like the art project I brought and when I started dinner she broke all of my crayons and dumped the crayon shavings from the sharpener all over the rug and ground them in with her foot.  She shredded all of my art paper into confetti and squirted my paints between the pages of my drawing books and all over the tablecloth!"  Fallon's tears started anew as she remembered her ruined art supplies.

Mr. Totty's face grew increasingly red as Fallon continued.  "Kelsey got mad when Jake told her to stop being so bad so she punched him and made his nose bleed.  I think she may have chipped his tooth, too.  He locked himself in his room for his own protection.  Then Kelsey threw her mac-n-cheese at the fan and ran through the house pouring Kool-Aid on the carpet and knocking over the plants...Mr. Price came and took her to his house," the teen finished.  "Please, can I go home?"
