Aromas from the kitchen bring fond memories of olden days, when lilting laughter often rang throughout this house in merriment as children played. Too soon, the surging tides of time would sweep us all away to meet our destinies prescribed by fate. Abruptly, cancer came, corrupting weakened flesh, and brought relentless pain to bear upon his soul, until the angel’s wings that fly us home appeared, compassionately taking him to heaven’s grace. Today, our family assembles in that house to share our grief and fond regard for time we had with him, reflecting on the mysteries of life. ********************* Author’s Note:The Grossblank is a new form created by Larry Gross in 2001.
