Hear My Song

Freedom, What a lousy friend you are
You told me I could travel far
You helped me stand up on my own
Said I could live on words alone
Then you left me on that endless road
Without a home, Without a home.

      Chorus:

Passion, if I cry, please understand
I have no one else to hold my hand
If I run, don’t let me hide
If I can’t cry, I’ll lose my mind
Lead me where someone will see
What’s inside of me, What’s inside of me?

Despair, you nearly got me down this time
I gave them everything in me, I really blew their minds,
They listened to my song, they cried and cheered,
I gave them more, I sang out clear
Then they said, “You don’t belong…. here”.
It’s so wrong.  What went wrong?

      Chorus:

Despair and Freedom, you can’t take my soul
I won’t hide my passion anymore,
With open arms, here I stand
In front of God and every man
My dreams and fears show on my face
I’ll represent the human race, the human race.

        Chorus:

Wisdom, Did I hear somebody cry
Let them hear my words, I’ll be their guide
Like me, they have a song they need to share
And no one wants to hear them, no one cares
They need to know, they do belong,
I’ll hear their voice, I'll hear their song
Sing your song...., Hear my song....
