Desperation

I struggle so to find the words,
they hide inside of me.
What can I say to pave the way,
to make it all okay?

I'm blank at times when I write,
my words are at a loss.
My flow is off, I'm to uptight,
no matter what the cost.

It pains me to care so much,
my heart beats way too fast.
I fear I cannot stay in touch,
so our love will last.

I cannot change, I must be me,
Just as you are you.
I only wish that we could see,
our future destiny.
