Barren

The feelings they are gone
Barren broken down
Shattered dreams
Frosted ground.

The ice in my heart
Brittle to the touch
Frozen and raw.

Put on a happy face
Pretend once again
Barren broken down
I lost the race.

Keep the distance
Hide the shame
Who is here to blame?
