Ivory cage
Racing with love
Pounding with rage
Bursting with envy
Soaring with joy
And fluttering
When feeling coy
Skipping a beat
Anticipation
Then speeding up
In agitation

Pumping the blood
Pulsing with life
Aching with sadness
Through sorrow and strife
