My Dreams My dreams can be ideas of things undone, A quest to put some hope to days en-route. My dreams can energize the glad pursuit Of future dawns with schemes not yet begun. My dreams can be of memories so fair. There are so many loves my life has lost. Years and decades spent will not exhaust The scent and softness of my Mamma’s hair. My dreams are prayers my spirit can endure The ravages of illness on the life Of the gentle man who honors me as wife, My love, whose pain constricts with ropes secure.
