Two Staffs, My Grace.
My children and how they became my support, instead of I being theirs.

Rispetto: Italian form abab ccdd rhyme pattern, two rhyming quatrains in tetrameter.

Two treasures did my life unearth
Jewel's bright gleam from bed of clay,
Childish voices pipe joy and mirth
Add rainbows to the dreary day.

Somewhere along life’s twisted trails
Hands clasped to climb high craggy vales,
Balance shifted without a trace
Two sturdy staffs are now my grace.
