I heard the knock on my door
late in the night. I knew that bad news, like the switch of a light would soon be my plight. I crawled out of my bed answered the door. I knew you were dead when they said, your heart beat no more. My kids were with you, they trusted so much. I often wondered, why would you do the drinking and such.... I cry every night my kids are no more. I leave on a light hoping, to avoid a knock on my door.
