This Heart of Brine A darkness haunts my soul - these secrets hide The truth of love, my heart is running from. Emotions change more often than the tide, Why can't I just feel nothing, only numb. The wish I wish most ev'ry night is seems: To know, just once, just what my heart conspires - The visions of a love only in dreams, But never can I see those true desires. They say only a woman knows her heart, But never have I known what lies in mine. They say a woman's heart - a piece of art, It seems that mine has seen it's life in brine. Just tear this useless organ from my chest, Somehow, I think that option only best.
