Oh my Soul by: Jon’ B. Crenshaw
02238 My esteem ebbs low, As I trudge across a frozen tundra of despair and woeful din I wonder; where do I fit in...and Oh my soul, My countenance sings softly A melancholy melody of longing, Of discontent with my life not many can feel my strife I am suffered unto pain And am locked within my own world Of heartache and forlorn promises Of laughing fools and doubting Thomas’ and… Oh my soul, Of wishes wished, then forgotten I am no witness of futures to come Just a sad, lonely soul of limited worth Still searching within life’s lowly berth and… Oh my soul, How I long for love And the blessings of embraces for kisses and wishes of fulfillment To break away, free of my concealment That a lonely heart will find me waiting Beneath the lovely wings of soulful sentiment Of wishes of joy and merriment Of wishes yearning and heart calling out…oh my soul.
