Roses (an attempt at a rispitto)

Two dozen roses made from fruit
the sweetest berries from the vine
Were dipped in chocolate dark and sweet
on tongue they tasted rich and fine

They stood on sticks within a pot
to share with friends who mean a lot
my love did give me this surprise
these roses sweet in fruit disguise
