                                            Ghazal 68


Persian:  Khurram an chashmay keh her roozash nazar bar roo e tust
              Shaadi e an dil keh her dam dar dimaaghask boo e tust
Urdu:      Chashm wo khurram jo daekhay roz o shab roo aap ka
              Shaad wo dil qaid rakhay jis ko gaisoo aap ka

English:=== Blessed is he who lives with her, and sees her everyday
                  And smells her lovely locks and curls, and with them does he play
                                                    -

Persian:  Mun zay tanhaie ba khoun gharq o to pehloo e kasaan
              Khoun e mun dar garden e an kas keh dar pehloo e tust
Urdu:      Gharq e khoun houn aap ki furqat maen aur khoun hay mera
              Us ki garden per, mila jis ko hay pehloo aap ka

English:=== Without her I'm so miserable, and she has all the fun
                  She eats and drinks with one and all,and dances with everyone
                                                    -

Persian:  Bar rukhat dumbaala e zulf e to payan e shab ast
              Waftaab e subhedam andar sufaidi roo e tust
Urdu:      Zulf e shab rang aap ki rashk e shab e taareek hay
              Maand meh kerta hay rakhshaani say mehroo aap ka

English:=== Black her locks and tresses are; her curls are dark as night
                  Her lips are like the ruby wine; like moon her face is bright
                                                    -

Persian:  Bar shakar khanand afsoon behr e diljooie wa laik
              Shakkaray koo khud fasoon khanad, lab diljhoo e tust
Urdu:      Haen fasoon perhtay shakar per behr e dil jooie toe wo
              Maangti hay khud lab e sheerin e diljoo aap ka     

English:=== With sugary lips and rosy cheeks and black enchanting eyes
                  She can directly cast a spell, and easily hypnotize
                                                    -

Persian:  Moo e abroo ra girha natwaan zadan laikin zay kibr
              Sad girha baesh ast bar her moo keh dar abroo e tust
Urdu:        Moo e abroo maen girha lagti naheen per kibr say
                Hay girha ander girha her moo e abroo aap ka

English:=== Her brow is like a deadly bow; her gaze is like a dart
                  So she can gash the stongest chest, and easily wound a heart
                                                    -

Persian;  Hinduaan ra zinda soozand, in chunin murda masooz
              Banda KHUSRO ra keh Turk ast aakhir o hindoo e tust
Urdu:        Turk hay KHUSRO, jalaana laash ko jaiz naheen
                Go yeh hay ik banda e nacheez e hindoo aap ke

English:=== Being fried or roasted or burnt alive KHUSRO does not dread
                  But since he is a Muslim Turk, pray do not burn him dead
