What would you say
to the child down the street?
Knowing he went to bed
without a thing to eat?

Would you offer to help
Would you really care?
Would you be indifferent
since you are not there?

Did you try and join in
to help him out?
Or did you ignore him
not hearing him shout?


While others tormented him,
coming from school.
Did you say anything
or just act the fool?

Did you wipe his tears
and give him a smile.

missing a child, and his trials.
