BROKEN
Broken are your promises And broken is my heart. Broken is friendship even Before our love could start. Dreams are broken before their Image could be coloured. Reeds are broken before their Sweet music could be heard. Broken is my carefree sleep To which I had been lulled. Broken is my very soul. My whole life is annulled. Shall spring ever visit me? Shall roses be fragrant? My own heart has betrayed me. Why is love petulant? * Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format M C Gupta 1 March 2008
