Within the haze that settles o'er
The waters and beyond,
I can see two lovers meeting:
I feel their two hearts bond.

The world about them may well be
Enveloped in a mist,
For in their hearts and minds they feel
that they alone exist.

Together their love conquers all
the stumbling blocks of life.
She has the strength he gives to her,
He has his loving wife.

They lived their life and shared their love
Into their twilight days,
Alas, they knew the time would come:
The parting of the ways.

The mist that rises 'cross the lake
Brings back sweet memory.
Clear the mist that I may have
