I lay on a rock enjoying the sun,
When kids finally see me
they take off on a run.
I slither and coil,
turn every which way.
I'm called a snake
but what can I say?
I have no choice in
my name anyway.
I lose my skin
and just leave it lay.
It doesn't hurt me
I just slither away.
