The Wall
Rated: E | Poetry | Romance/Love | #1396336
This is for my Love, who stood with me when all others ran.
Dare I to hope, or give in to fear?
Push hard against these icy walls, or be apart from loved one dear?
The one my longing heart seeks is just on the other side,
One from which my love these barriers cannot hide.
Holes and gaps forming has already begun,
Through those spaces has her sweet encouragement run.
Urging me to try, to push, to fight,
Call on my heart's strength and give it all my might!
Already the wall crumbles, shatters, and downward falls,
Soon all will be laid bare, no smoke, masks, or hard walls.
Patiently you wait, always there, always near,
Your gentle heart reminds me there is nothing to fear.
Dare I to hope, or give in to fear?
Push hard against these icy walls, or be apart from loved one dear?
