ONLY WORDS
Words and words and only words; That’s all you have to give. Though your words are sweet, I need Much more than words to live. By expressing sympathy, Though you have played your part, Yet somehow I wish you could Feel the pain in my heart. Eyes are mirrors of the heart; Though silent, they tell more. Honest looks often convey The thoughts of a heart pure. Once you learn to read the thoughts, You will know what I need. My dear, till then I’ll remain Rather deprived, indeed. * Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format * Awarded first prize and awardicon in the “COLORING THE WORLD CONTEST” contest, "COLORING THE WORLD CONTEST " M C Gupta 5 March 2008
