Abuse Is Not Just A Word

Abuse, is not just a word to use casually. We see this word and turn away or try and ignore its meaning. We have groups on this site that are there just to help the survivours of abuse. Its a word that hurts the one who is going through it, it can haumt that person for life. It can eventually kill! Abuse is harmful!

I have been down that road, and it almost killed me. Not only physically but mentally. Unless you've lived it, you can not comprehend the irrepairable harm it can do to your body, soul and spirit. Abuse is sad.

My childhood years were desperate terror filled years. My mom never let my twin and I forget that she wished "we had never been allowed to live". Everyday this was repeated like a mantra. We were constantly threatened with abandonment until one day we were sold on the blackmarket for ten thousand dollars. A couple in Montana were childless and wanted a baby. They felt it was a blessing to get two for the price of one. We were four years old at the time. Don't ever deceive yourself into thinking that a young child does not have a very long memory because they do.
