Striking brown eyes, framed with lavish lashes, watch the world intently.
They widen in shock, taking in the horror and darkness;
Unspeakable cruelty, a dreadful nightmare before her tired eyes.
Despair explodes in her heavy heart;
She can only stare.
Tragic tears
Fall.
